Neoscream's Life, the 24th to the 30th of October

Squidol Girl
Welcome to another week of my life. The week before last not much happen, but what chaos did last week bring. Well during the week both me and my mum had the week of. Oh and sorry that this was a day late, it was because I had a lot to write about for Saturday.

On Monday both me and my mum went the the shopping center as we both needed haircuts. After the haircut we had a quick look at TVs and Blu-Ray, as my mum decided to make the family Christmas present as a HD TV, a Blu-Ray player and Sky HD, oh and a stand. While checking Currys we picked up a new camera that was on sell, a Fujifilm Finepix LS5. After looking at TVs we went to Craftworld to pick up some bits. Some of them was needed to build something for my costume for London EXPO and the Halloween party I was going to. After that we went to Morrison's for lunch and food shopping. Note to self never eat it Morrison's at lunchtime, they are super slow at that time. We also rented Green Lantern. When we get home I started playing a new Facebook game called Monster Galaxy. It is a Pokémon like game with the types being based on the Zodiac. I also brought the tickets for London EXPO, but sadly had a problem painting them. The prints were very liney. Looks like we need to get more inks. Also I got all fourteen comics of the X-Men Necrosha story line from the Monday sell on the Marvel comic app on my tablet. It all cost about £9. I also updated the DreamClix Dial Designs page.

The Mark V Armour Suitcase starting to transform
On Tuesday I post the Neoscream's Life post of last week and a Cosplay Deviants review post of Jsice's set from last Saturday. Dad was super late home, 11:30PM, and we had to wait up for him. Oh and I started work on modifying the Games Workshop case into the Mark V suitcase.

On Wednesday we popped out gain. First we went to Staples for a couple of bits for mum as well as inks for the printer. Next we went to the Train Station to get tickets to London for Saturday. Afterwards we went to Currys to pickup a HD TV, a Blu-Ray player and a stand. We have lunch and then I quickly popped into Craftworld for some extra bit for the suitcase. When we got home we kicked out the old TV and while I setting up the new TV my mum throw away the boxes and ordered a HD Sky box. Sky say that we should get the box Monday next week. Luckily my mum is off work next week too. So she would be at home for the delivery. My mum kept some of the packing foam as it would make a better base than the Games Workshop case. We then realised that forgot to take the DVD we rented back so we went of to take it back and bought a Blu-Ray to test the player. I also updated the DreamClix Dial Designs page.

The suitcase I made
On Thursday I spent most of the day building the suitcast. Also chat to Honey Chain. In the evening I went to HeroClix. I did get to bed until 1AM.

Now for this week's CosmicBreak update news. Thursday's they revealed that they while be running a 2nd open Beta test of C21: Steel Battle Chronicles spin-off game that ment to be more action than shooter and by the look of it has no Moe characters.

On Friday I had to write most of the HeroClix post as I had not had the time to do it and finish off the suitcase. I thought I had most of the day to do it. Yer right. We went out yet again. First we went to Stony Stratford to drop off the books that did not sell on e-Bay to a second hand book store and to pick up some specialist cat food. Sadly we missed their morning openingand they will not be open again until 2PM. So we phoned my sad to try to pick it up. We then went somewhere for lunch. After lunch we popped to the doctors to pickup up prescription and got it filled out at the chemist. As some of the stuff needed to be kept cool, so we went home to drop off the bits. When we got home we found we miss a postal delivery, the new Sky box. As we could not pick it up until 3PM, we phoned dad to tell him that we would puck up the cat food. We then went food shopping. We got home again and unpacked afterward. When we finished unpacking and 2:30PM we went off again. First we went to Stony Stanford again for cat food and then to a post office to pickup the Sky box. We got home I started looking for a cable we needed to set up to Sky Box which I thought I had I a cable box. I was leaving it to Sunday to check when we thought it was Monday it was coming on. Sadly I did not have have the cable so we had to pop out yet again. After getting the cable and a couple of other bits at Maplins I set up the Sky box, but sadly we had a bit of a problem getting Sky upstairs. I know I had to try to work it out, but as it was 6PM, I thought it would be best to leave it until Sunday. Sadly with the little time I had could only finish off the basics of the suitcase and post the HeroClix post without the event rules and the Dial Designs. Before going to bed I remembered the i was forgetting to print the tickets, so I changed the ink and printed them. It was still very liney. Cleaning the heads did not work ever, so I had the hope that the barcode of the tickets will still work with how liney the prints were and that we have to that the printer in to PC World to get it fixed.

My Tony Stark costume
We got up at 5AM on Saturday morning to get ready to go to London EXPO, dress up as Tony Stark. The taxi pick us up at about 6:30AM and we court the 6:59AM Virgin train the London. We got to London at about 7:40AM and got to the Excel center where the London Comic Com MCM Expo (London EXPO or London Comic Con), at about 8:30AM. Doors were meant to open at 9AM, but the queue did not start moving until about 9:15AM. We had a look around of the stands where I found a stand that was sold HeroClix singles. The store was called Toi-Box. I picked up fifteen new figures. Some of the figures I picked up would have be useful on last Thursday's HeroClix game. The figures I picked up were:

Raven (Veteran, Icons)
Hawkeye (Secret Invasion)
Frankenstein (Arkham Asylum)
Talia Ghul (Rare, Brave and the Bold)
Goodness and Mercy (Brave and the Bold)
J. Jonah Jameson (Web of Spider-Man)
Donna Troy (75th)
Nightmaster (75th)
Angel (Giant Size X-Men)
Leech (Giant Size X-Men)
Luke Cage (Captain America)
Red Guardian (Captain America)
Lex Luthor (Superman)
Doomsday (Superman)
Anya Stroud (Gears of War)

The New Camera can take fantastic Panorama pictures.

Sorry, this is the best Beckii Cruel picture
from my camera. Like the old one it is no
good while using zoom.
I really like the new dial bases from the Superman set. They seem easier to turn. (However somehow after or during the convention Lex Luthor came off his base and now I can not turn his dial or open it.) At 10:30AM we hand some lunch from a noodles stand. We had lunch early due my mum's diabetes. Sadly it was not that great. We got back for the Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom demo at 10:30AM. We had a bit of trouble trying to find the main stage, as we were never given a map/time table. We manage to find the main stage to find that it was not the stage I wanted, it was the Totally Cosplay stage, I wanted. Luckily I saw and remembered where it was while looking from trying to find the main stage. So we quickly headed there for the Beckii Cruel performance. Sadly we missed a dance or two but did catch her debut single "You Can't Kiss Me 2011". For those who do not know anything about Beckii, she is a YouTube star from the UK who dances to Japanese Pop music. She has a huge Japanese following on YouTube, so big they invited her to Japan to perform on a ton of TV shows. I will try to post a video of one of her YouTube performance at the end of this post. After Beckii's show we looked around the stores again. At the Manga Entertainment stand I picked up Highschool of the Dead on Blu-Ray. I also wanted to get volume two of Soul Eater and season five of Bleach, but sadly they were not selling the individual volumes of Soul Eater and season five of Bleach was the only season of Bleach they did not seem to have in stock. We then pick up a One Piece backpack as we notice that the bag I use as a general bag, Laptop bag and a work bag, was starting to fall apart. Also my mum felt that we needed another bag with use. We stopped for a coffee so my mum could rest and put a couple of bits into the new bag. After coffee I picked up some Pocky. Then I remembered the one of the animes I wanted to pick up, Fate/Stay Night, was a MVM Anime (in the UK). So I popped into the MVM stand to pick up the box set of it. Then my mum saw a t-shirt she liked called "Release the Attack Kittens" and brought it. It got to about 2PM. At 2PM people with London Expo tickets could go to another event being held at the Excel center at the same time, Memorabilia London. It was basically like Collectimania in Milton Keynes but a lot smaller. After a look around there we went back to London Expo were I notice that Letraset was holding Manga art classes. I bought a ticket to one of them, The Secret of Paneling the Japanese Manga Way with Irina Richards. While I was at the class, my mum had a needed rest. It was quite interesting but I could that every body else at the class was much much more skilled it drawing than me. Their rough pictures were better than my best. On the way to meet up  my mum I noticeone of the stores sell Street Fighter HeroClix boosters for £2 each. So I brought six booster packs. The characters I pulled were:

Ken (Common)
Dhalsim (Common)
E. Honda
Guile (Common)
Dee Jay
Guile (Uncommon)

Best Torchwood panel picture I have
After re-meeting up with my mum, we popped to the Beez Entertainment (Europe version of Bandai Entertainment) stand as I wanted to know what was happening about the releases of the Moblie Suit Gundam Zeta movies and the Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn episodes. Sadly due to the warehouse fire their had during the riots, they are suffering major delays and and stock shortages. They might be out by the May show or at least news of when they would be out. At 4PM we went to the Torchwood, panel. Before the panel, Stuart Claw (a UK presenter of all things Sci-Fi) was give away prizes. Sadly I did not win anything. At the Torchwood panel was Eve Myles (Gwen Cooper), Kai Owen (Rhys Williams), Arlene Tur (Vera Juarez) and Alexa Havins (Esther Drummond). It was really great, the only way it would have been better if they had John Barrowman (Captain Jack Harkness) and Mekhi Phifer (Rex Matheson) there. After the panel I tried to get a game of a new board game called Super Dungeon Explorer. I had heard about the game about a year when looking for figures to use for a Necromunda team. The game is made by Soda Pop Miniatures who are known for their Anime like miniatures. Sadly I could not get a game, but I get to watch one being played. The game is a dungeon crawling board game based on old arcade role-play games like Gauntlet. But with Chibi/super deformed heroes. After the game had finish I quickly pick up another HeroClix figure at the Toi-Box store before the convention closed for the day. It was the non chase Cammy from Street Fighter as I did not pull her in my boosters and I needed her for a team I want to do with Guile and Anya Stroud. We had bagels for dinner before heading heading back to Milton Keynes. London Expo was has gotten better since I was last there but the lack of anime voice acters was a major upset. Ok, Vic Mignogna was there, but i already got his signature from a past show. I am not saying it is a bad thing that Vic has come back, but only one anime voice actor who has done the convention at least one does not get peopke tp come back. On the tube I had a little accident where I hurt one of my toes and damaged the handle of the suitcase. Crap. When we got to Euston we picked up some sellotape to repairs the suitcase as I was going strait to a Halloween party when we got back to Milton Keynes. We got back to Milton Keynes about 8:15PM. My dad pick my mum up and gave me my Brother's Strawberry Cider for the party. The party was at Colette's. Darren H, Richard, Simon, Jake, Colette and about seven others were there. Not all at the same time. Sadly not many people were dressed up and most people left early so I got a taxi home at 11:30PM (before the clocks moved back). With the Mark V suitcase I have some plans on improving it. Finish of the missing bits on the sides, redo the handle and recover it with metallic paper to give it a metallic look.

I woke up at about 11AM (after the clocks moved back) on Sunday. As my parents manage to find a fix for the Sky box problem, I could just get on with working on my blog. Done two updates to the DreamClix Dial Designs page, posted about it, posted a review about Wednesday's Cosplay Deviants set and making the dials that I was meant to have do on last Thursday's HeroClix post. I will be doing a review of Saturday's great set from Kittystar when I can. (I have been too busy writing this post to write it yet.)

Now here is the video of Beckii Cruel's debut single "You Can't Kiss Me 2011" with an introduction from Beckii. This is from her YouTube account xBextahx.

Here is a list of post that will be posted during the coming week. Please note that things may change due to charges in work or time.
