Watch, Listen and Read for the week of the 25th to the 31st of October

The Big O

Another week, another Watch, Listen and Read post.

On Monday I watched episode 133 of One Piece, episodes 1 and 2 of The Big O, this week’s episode of The Gadget Show and listen to episode 69 of Manga Pulse. Both The Big O and Iron Man 2 arrived in the post.

On Tuesday I watched episode 4 of the Iron Man anime, episode 3 of The Big O, a Gadget Show web clip (Robots), listened to episode 252 of Anime Pulse (the 5 year Anniversary episode), episode 70 of Manga Pulse and episode 7 of VG Pulse. I lot of stuff was reviled in episode 4 of the Iron Man anime, the Zodiac warriors are Cyborgs, it is defiantly not based in the movies universe as they showed a different Iron Man origin story, and it looks like they are keeping the younger look Wolverine but with shorter hair (that is if the two shows are really linked) as he made a guest appearance in episode four of Iron Man.

On Wednesday I watched the Iron Man 2 movie, episodes 2 of Heroman and episode 43 of the dubbed version of Bleach.

On Thursday I watched episode 45 of Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ, a Gadget Show web clip (Top 5 Bluetooth Headsets), episode 3 of the Gadget Show Web TV and read chapter 6 of Sundome.

On Friday I watched episode 2 of SD Gundam Mark II, two Gadget Show web clips (Behind The Scenes of the Transport Challenge Part 3 and Dallas' Weekly Vlog), listen to episode 167 of TFWire and episode 71 of Manga Pulse.

Nothing on Saturday.

On Sunday I watched last week’s Merlin, episode 134 and 135 of One Piece, episode 2 of Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn, episode 5 of After War Gundam X, episode 19 of Dragon Ball Kai, episode 10 of Avatar: The Last Air Bender, a Gadget Show web clip (Top 5 Toothbrushes) and listened to episode 72 of Manga Pulse.

This is video is a really a video, but the ending track of the first episode of Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn. The Song is called Ryuusei no Namida and it is do by CHiAKi KURiYAMA.

DreamClix Special

As there is no Heroclix this week, this week's post will be a DreamClix double bill. This week I will be doing Hydro Armour Iron Man, a generic Konohagakure ninja from Naruto, Master Roshi from Dragon Ball, a generic Marine from One Piece, Acidwire from Bleach, the mark 1 armour of the anime Iron Man, generic Guerrilla Soldiers, and Zodiac Warrior Taurus and dials for Money D. Luffy from One Piece and a powerless Rukia. I am only doing one Marvel character today as the anime Mark 1 Iron Man armour can easily fit as the 616 Marvel universe one (the standard comic book Marvel universe) or the movie one.

First off is Hydro Armour Iron Man. While Iron Man’s conventional suits functioned underwater, they were noisy, inefficient, and they leaked. Plus, they weren’t able to go to great depths nor could they stay under for long. So Stark designed his experimental deep sea armour, the Deep Submergence Suit, or Hydro Armour, Model XIII, Mark I. Utilizing the most recent innovations in undersea technologies and built specifically to withstand the unique conditions of the deep sea environment, the Hydro Armour can handle Iron Man’s undersea missions or help provide a quick response to deep water emergencies. (Stark often uses his suits to tinker, and works out his ideas, usually developing new technologies and methods as he goes. Much of the technology in the suit grew out of Stark’s desire to solve problems.) The large and bright yellow massive suit is cumbersome and clunky on land, but subtle and graceful underwater. The armour is a tougher, thicker composite of his usual armour material. Rated at 8,000 lbs./inch, it is capable of travelling to depths of up to 3 miles. Iron Man wears a normal helmet, but is also encased within a quartz visor/dome that provides a full oxygen environment. The dome, a transparent headpiece, is made from a new aligned-crystal technology (normal glass would never have worked at the depths this suit was designed to work in). Ultra-pressurized, this suit’s joints required a total redesign. They fit even better and remain mobile while under a broad range of compressions, thanks in part to the high-pressure ring seals at each joint. (While building the perfect Hydro Armour, Stark got a better understanding of where his normal suit leaked.) While the gloves feature advanced micro-hand articulation for tight work, the boots are really ingenious. First, they are immobile, meaning his feet/ankles don’t flex like his normal boots. Next, the boot design features dual mode boot jets. They breathe air for flight, but when underwater, silent water impellers engage to provide movement. Driven by micro water impellers, which have no obvious moving parts: water is drawn in and squirted out to propel the armour silently. Three steering jets per boot prevent “fish-tailing.” Model XIII is like the stealthiest of submarines in a vastly smaller package. Since the Hydro Armour was designed for such a harsh (not to mention dangerous) environment, the oxygen flow, electrical relays, aquatic propulsion jets, and other systems were backed-up with every safeguard Stark could think of, preparing for every conceivable contingency—including power supply. The power source is a Mark IV micro-nuclear supply pack. The suit has a refined Tri-Beam configuration, featuring advanced tunable lasers—a design necessary when building a weapon for atmospheric and oceanic penetration. The Tri-Beam also has an advanced halogen lamp spotlight. On his yacht, The Bethany, Tony has a special bay from which he can deploy the aqua armour. The suit has full-spectrum radio communications. In addition, there are specialized sensors for the unique conditions of the water. On-board sonar allows Iron Man to manoeuvre without light when necessary. Hydro Armour should have the swim ability, a special ability called “Limited Flight” at the start of his dial, a trait called “Slow on land”, a special ability called “Sonar”, Super Strength, Invulnerability, Toughness and Outwit.
Limited Flight: Hydro Armour Iron Man can use the flight ability. (Note this will be ability not symbol so he cannot carry but he can be carried).
Slow on Land: If Hydro Armour Iron Man is in Water terrain, his Movement value is doubled.
Sonar: Hydro Armour Iron Man can ignore hindering terrain that is on water terrain for line of sight if he is in water terrain himself.
He should have about six to eight clicks of health and starting states of movement 5, attack 10, defence 16, damage 3 and range 6. He should ever have the Avengers TA or no TA and the keywords Armoured, Scientist and maybe Avengers.

Next is a generic Konohagakure ninja from Naruto. Konohagakure ("Village Hidden in the Leaves" or "Hidden Leaf Village" for short) is the Hidden Village of the Land of Fire. As one of the five Great Ninja Villages, Konohagakure has a Kage as its leader known as the Hokage. There have been five Hokage, the most recent being Tsunade. On a mountain overlooking the village from the north exists the Hokage Monument. Although Konoha, much like the country in which it resides, has been relatively peaceful since the end of the Third Great Shinobi World War, it remains one of the most powerful villages in existence, and has great military power and influence. The Konohagakure ninjas should have Stealth, Charge, Smoke Cloud, Toughness, Super Senses and a special minion ability called “Will of Fire”.
Will of Fire: When a friendly character with the Konohagakure keywords that is twice or more the points cost of this character is within 8 squares, Konohagakure ninja has Willpower and can modify their attack value by +1.
They should have about five clicks of health and starting states of movement 8, attack 9, defence 16, damage 2 and range 6. They should also have the Naruto TA and the keywords Konohagakure and ninja.

Next is Master Roshi from Dragon Ball. Master Roshi, also known as The "Turtle Hermit", is an ancient and wise martial arts master and the first character to wield the trademark Kamehameha. Though he seems frail, he is a mighty warrior. Master Roshi trained Gohan, Ox-King, Goku, Krillin, and Yamcha. His home, named Kame House, is a shack on a small isolated island, serves as a gathering place for his "friends". He is both the archetypal wise old man and a dirty old man, the latter being typical of shōnen manga. Sometimes, he gets cranky, which further provides comic relief. He is bald, with a thick fu man chu, and a thick beard. Master Roshi wears beach clothes or a martial arts suit and a turtle shell on his back. He usually wields a walking stick. His companions are usually Oolong, Turtle, and Launch. Master Roshi should have Flurry, maybe a click of Mind Control, Super Strength, Close Combat Reflexes, Range Combat Expert, Close Combat Expert and Outwit. He should have about six to eight clicks of health and starting states of movement 6, attack 11, defence 16, damage 2 and range 8. They should also have the Dragon Ball Avengers TA and the keywords Martial Artist and Turtle Shell School.

Next is a generic Marines from One Piece. The Marines are the World Government's military sea force. It is present in all the seas around the world, although they maintain only a slight military presence in the four Blues by establishing Branch Offices. The focus of the bulk of its assets on are on the far more dangerous Grand Line, as their main headquarters, Marineford, is located there. The Marine HQ is situated in the New World. The Marines should have Charge, Blades and a special minion ability called “Mob Tactics”.
Mob Tactics: When a friendly character with the Marine keywords that is twice or more the points cost of this character is within 8 squares, Marine can modify their defence by +1 for each adjacent friendly character with the Marine keyword.
They should have about five clicks of health and starting states of movement 8, attack 8, defence 14, damage 1 and range 4. They should also have the One Piece TA and the keywords Marine and Soldier.

Next Acidwire from Bleach. Sora Inoue was Orihime Inoue's older brother. He quickly enters the story as a Hollow called Acidwire. He attacks Ichigo Kurosaki in his room. After failing, he, like most hollows would, proceeds to attack the person closest to him when he was alive - Orihime. Upon his arrival at Orihime's apartment, he separates her soul from her body and attacks Tatsuki Arisawa, leaving her unconscious. When he attacks Orihime, Ichigo and Rukia arrive to stop him. During their battle, he begins to remember his past life, but it is only after Orihime jumps in between him and Ichigo that he is able to remember everything. He begins having an internal battle between himself and his Hollow nature. His human mind momentarily regains control, and shattering his Hollow mask, he grabs Ichigo's Zanpakutō and prepares to slay himself. Seeing this, his sister tells him that there was one thing that she should have said before he died: "Have a nice day, Sora". They say good-bye before Sora stabs the Zanpakutō into himself, killing himself as a Hollow and moving on to Soul Society as a spirit. Now Acid wire should have the powers Charge, Super Strength, Toughness and Close Combat Export. He should have five or six clicks of health with starting states of Move 10, Attack 9, Defence 16, Damage 2 and Range 0. He should not have any TA and the keyword Hollow.

Next is anime Iron Man in Mark 1 armour. Ok, the Mark 1 is just like all the other Mark 1s. But I had an idea for the flamethrower. So take the old Armour Wars one as a base, dump any range and abilities and then add this Flamethrower special.
Flamethrower: Give Iron Man a power action and choose a square up to 4 within line of fire (ignoring characters for this purpose.) Make an attack roll and compare the result to each character in the line of fire including the one in the target square. Each character hit this way is dealt 2 damage.

Next is generic Guerrilla Soldiers. These can be a standard Marvel generic or a DC one or an Iron Man Movie one or anime one. They should have Toughness and a one click special called Missile Launcher.
Missile Launcher: Is character can use Range Combat Expert but after using it the character takes one click of undividable damage unless there is a friendly character with the Soldier keywords that is twice or more the points cost of this character is within 8 squares.
They should have four clicks of health with starting states of Move 8, Attack 8, Defence 16, Damage 2 and Range 6 with one target. They should ever have the Hydra TA or not have any TA and the keyword Soldier.

Lastly is this week’s Zodiac warrior who I guess is Taurus as it looked like a bull. They have reviled that the Zodiac Warriors are Cyborgs so all the ones I have done should have both the Armour and Robot keyword. He should a double baser with Transporter, Invulnerability, Toughness and a special called Ram.
Ram: This character can use charge. When this character uses charge, add two to the damage value.
It should have five or six clicks of health and starting states of movement 12, attack 9, defence 16, damage 3 and range 4 with one target. It should also have the Hydra TA and the keywords Zodiac, Armour and Robot.

To finish of this post here are two dial designs, one for a depowered Rukia Kuchiki from Bleach and one for Money D. Luffy from One Piece. I have done some changes to them than originally plan. With Rukia I dump the special as I did not thought it would work well. I also add a click of Leap Climb and Smoke Cloud. With Luffy I added Flurry and Will Power.

Next week’s DreamClix should be one of the last two members of the House of M Fearsome Four, Iruka Umino from Naruto and L from Death Note. Also well as the dial from Great Ape from Dragon Ball. Until next time, enjoy.

MS Wars Update, 27th of October, The Mobius Empire Strikes Back

Ok, what have I been doing all this time on MS Wars. Well the first thing I did when I got back onto working on the game was to fix the problems I had with the game during the last test. These were ramming, firing over friendly units, carrying and ?. I will leave explain the rule changes to these rules until the next Updates post as I still have some major rules changes to do. The major rules chage is going to be on movement. The movemant chances has been already inpermented on the database, I just need to do the changes the changes to the rule. The major change is that you use to be able to make any number on move action up to half rounded up of the units Output and up to two move actions a movement phase. Now you can only do two move actions a turn and only one move action durring each move phase. This will led to some other changes to movement but you will have to wait to read the rule. Now with the chat about the rule changes are done, I will move on to the database.

Front side of a Character Card
Now if you have been following my 'Neoscream's Life' post on my Neoscream's Log blog you may have notice I have been doing a lot of work on the database for the unit. The first thing I decided to do was to do some rebuilding. After that I started on a new idea to combine units and characters with per set weapon kits and pilot skills. This is what I call character units and the card (Report) version is called Character Cards. These are not normally named characters; just pre set units with a random pilot. Not all the skills have been used so the player can do a bit of customising. I am still working on the Character Cards however the front side which holds all the main gaming data is pretty much done, just the odd twig here and them. But I still how a lot of work to do on the other side. One of the things I need to do is find a way to build a damage tally based on the unit’s DC. Now with the chat about the changes to the database and units is done, I will move on to the modelling and unit drawings.

Back side of a Character Card at the moment
Ummm, sadly I have done none. However I have brought some guns from Heresy Multi Part Miniatures before the price increase. I plan on doing some more unit drawings soon and I will try to get back to modelling after I have gotten the changes to the rules done. Now with the chat about modelling and drawings done, I will move on to the last bit of this update, the world of Empire of Mobius.

I am currently working on back stuff about the Mobius Empire which I will try to post some of it up sometime next week. However I like to let people know that I have added a new minor race known as the Dread. You will have to wait until next week from information about the Dread, but I will tell you this, they are based a little on undead.

Well that is it for this update the next MS Wars post (Saturday) should be a rules post on Turn Structure and the one after that (Tuesday) will be ever a rules post on Movement or a Units post on the Amago Standard Type Small SRACU. Until next time, enjoy.

Neoscream's Life, the 18th to the 24th of October

Last week was work, work, work and a lack of sleep. What will this week be like?

On Monday was the first day off of the week off work my perants had. I worked on and posted next part of the Labels A to Z before heading to work. My perants dropped me off at work and went off to get some stuff to decorate with as the were planning to decorate the living room. I worked 11AM to 5PM. When I got home I finishing writing up the Neoscream's Life post for the next day and did some tidying of my room.

I was up early Tuesday as I had a lot to do. First I was moving my stuff that waw down staire to my room so my dad could decorate the living room. Then I posted Neoscream’s Life post and worked on the DreamClix side of my Heroclix post. I was down to work from 12PM to 9PM but it was dead at work and I ended up finishing at 7PM. When I got home the case for my mum's Kindle had arrived. Stupidly I sent them in my mum's than my name. Luckily she already knows that me and dad were getting her a Kindle for Christmas.

On Wednesday I posted the next Labels A to Z post before work and worked on the Character Cards on my MS Wars database. I also worked from 12PM to 5AM.

I was awoke on Thursday morning by sounds from my laptop. Blaire was back on-line on MFC. She was designing clothes for herself and to sell on-line. She had been back for about a week but had been too tired to come on-line. When she left she say she should be on in two days and might be on tomorrow to introdute a new Smartz Girl LotusBabe. Wow, another Smartz Girl without Smartz at the end. She also posted a tweet saying that she will keep us updated on when she will be on MFC on Twitter. After she left, my mum said to get readly quickly as they wanted to do a bit of shopping for curtans as the old ones for the Living room did not servive the wash and to get a new booster box for the TV. I got ready and we went to do a little shopping. We went to Maplins first and picked up a new booster box and a Christmas gift for Richard. I also was about to get one of those round LED lights for Halloween but my dad said he had a spear one at work he could give me. After that we went to a bedroom shop place to pick up some new curtans for the living room and then Homebase for a couple of bits. After all of that my parents dropped me off at work were I worked from 11AM to 4PM. I went home fit the cabling of the TV for my dad, had dinner and went to Heroclix. I got back home about 11:15PM.

The was no sign of Blaire or the new Smartz Girl LotusBabe on Friday morning. I went food shopping with my parents at Asda as I needed to get some bits for Halloween and they wanted to do food shoping for the weekend and next week. We picked up a suit (jacket and trasors) and a white shirt for £29. I also got a tie for Christmas. I worked from 11AM to 5PM. When I got back home stupidy did some more work of the Character Card report on the database for the MS Wars, while I should have been working on my Heroclix post and the last Labels A to Z. Luckily I realised I was forgeting there in time to finish and post the Heroclix post.

On Saturday morning the was no Blaire. I should of guest that would happen. If she said she should be on-line, the likelyhood she will be on is slim to none. I started working on the final Labels A to Z post, but because of internet problems, I could not finish the post before going to coffee. At coffee were Richard, Colette and Darren H. Jake could not make it as he was working. We talked more about Halloween and planned to watch some films at Richard's later it the day. Sadly Darren could not make it but Jake should be able to. The idea was to which both of the Iron Man movies if the second one arrived in the post as preorders from Play.com can be that good. I worked from 12PM to 3PM. When I got home I phoned Richard for the final plan for tonight as the DVD had not turned up. He said for me to bring my DVDs and that he would pick me up at about 7PM. I finished off and posted the final Labels A to Z post before going out. It was just me, Richard, Jake and Collette, over at Richard’s to watch films. We ended up watching Team America: World Police and the first Iron Man film. As I was later and Richard had been drinking I ended up sleeping over.

I got back home about 11AM on Sunday. I ended up not doing much, but I did get the big MS Wars announcement do a day earlier than I stated on the last Labels A to Z post. It was originally going to be Sunday but I thought as I was about to post the last Labels A to Z post that I would not have it readily on time so I stated Monday.

Well that is it for this week. Next week will be Halloween, which I will try to remember to take some pictures. Oh and the Last Labels A to Z is not the last, it is just that I am out of labels to post about. Then I have five new labels to talk about I do a new post. Until next time, enjoy.

The BIG announcement

Here is the big announcement a day earlier than planned. MS Wars Update posts are coming back at last. Ok, ok, it has been ages since I did an update post for my MS Wars game. Sadly I have been busy with other things and suffering from computer problem, but things are slowly getting back into place. I will try to do things a little differently from now on. There will try to do a post every 3 days instead of one large post every two weeks. There will be four deferent types of posts which I will be doing, an update post, a rules post, a unit spot light post and background and story post.

No a picture of a unit from the game
The update post will keep you up to date with the progress of the game like rule changes, model making and buy as well as test game reviews and comments. This will be posted up on both of my blog, Neoscream's Log and MS Wars and there will be a new post about ever two to three weeks.

The rule post will be where I will be posting the game rules. Sadly I will be starting again from Turn Structure to have the rules on their own posts than mixed with other thing. The earlier stuff like Technology and states will be re-posted at a later date, most likely when the main rules have been posted. These posts will be on the MS Wars blog only.

The Units post with be where I post information on each of the deferent units and between three to five character cards. Later on I will do update posts on units that have done with five to ten Character Cards. These posts will be on the MS Wars blog only.

The background and story post will be where I will be posting background stuff for the world of the Mobius Empire and parts of a story I am planning to write. These posts will be on the MS Wars blog and might be posted on Neoscream's Log too.

I will be doing a proper update post on Wednesday on both blogs and then a rules post on Saturday on my MS Wars blog. Until next time, enjoy.

Labels A to Z, Part 13 Final

Burst Angel
Watch Listen Read - NSL - Watch, to be alertly on the lookout, look attentively, or observe, as to see what comes, is done, or happens: to watch while an experiment is performed. Listen, to pay attention; heed; obey (often fol. by to ): Children don't always listen to their parents. Read, to look at carefully so as to understand the meaning of (something written, printed, etc.): to read a book; to read music. I use this Label for my "Watch, Listen and Read" posts that is posted once a week ever on Sunday night or Monday morning. This is where I list all the stuff I watch, all the podcasts I listen to and all the stuff I read during the week as well as list the stuff I have ordered/brought or received during the week that is related to this.

Wii - NSL / MSW - The Wii is a home video game console released by Nintendo on November 19, 2006. As a seventh-generation console, the Wii primarily competes with Microsoft's Xbox 360 and Sony's PlayStation 3. Nintendo states that its console targets a broader demographic than that of the two others. As of October 2010, the Wii leads the generation over the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in worldwide sales, and in December 2009 broke the record for best-selling console in a single month in the United States. A distinguishing feature of the console is its wireless controller, the Wii Remote, which can be used as a handheld pointing device and detects movement in three dimensions. Another distinctive feature of the console is WiiConnect24, which enables it to receive messages and updates over the Internet while in standby mode. The Wii is Nintendo's fifth home console, the direct successor to the Nintendo GameCube, and able to play all official GameCube games. Nintendo first spoke of the console at the 2004 E3 press conference and later unveiled the system at the 2005 E3. Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata revealed a prototype of the controller at the September 2005 Tokyo Game Show. At E3 2006, the console won the first of several awards. By December 8, 2006, it had completed its launch in four key markets. I have owned a Wii since Christmas 2008. It a great party console as most multi-player games on the other consoles can be played as multi-player on-line with each player owning a copy of the game and their own console all of the same type. I use this label when talking about the Wii and Wii Games on both blogs.

Work - NSL - Is a place of suffering and punishment in the afterlife. Oh sorry wrong thing. Is a system in which people are the property of others. They can be held against their will from the time of their capture, to refuse to work, or to demand compensation. Oh sorry wrong thing again. Employment is a contract between two parties, one being the employer and the other being the employee. An employee may be defined as: "A person in the service of another under any contract of hire, express or implied, oral or written, where the employer has the power or right to control and direct the employee in the material details of how the work is to be performed." I use this label when talking about work.

X-Box - NSL / MSW - The Xbox 360 is the second video game console produced by Microsoft, and the successor to the Xbox. The Xbox 360 competes with Sony's PlayStation 3 and Nintendo's Wii as part of the seventh generation of video game consoles. Some major features of the Xbox 360 are its integrated Xbox Live service that allows players to compete online, download arcade games, game demos, trailers, TV shows, music and movies and its Windows Media Center multimedia capabilities. The Xbox 360 also offers region specific access to third-party media streaming services such as Netflix and ESPN in the USA or Sky Player in the UK. The Xbox 360 was officially unveiled on MTV on May 12, 2005, with detailed launch and game information divulged later that month at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). The console sold out completely upon release in all regions except in Japan. As of June 2010, there are over 41.7 million Xbox 360 consoles worldwide. At their E3 presentation on June 14, 2010, Microsoft announced a redesigned Xbox 360 that would ship on the same day. The redesigned console is slimmer than the previous Xbox 360 model and features integrated 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, TOSLINK S/PDIF optical audio output, 5 USB 2.0 ports (compared to the 3 from older versions) and a special AUX port. Older models of the Xbox 360 have since been discontinued. The first new console to be released features a 250 GB hard drive, while a later, less expensive SKU features 4 GB internal storage. With the announcement of the Xbox 360 S, Microsoft have said that they believe that the console is only mid-way through its life-cycle and will continue on through 2015. In 2009, IGN named the Xbox 360 the sixth greatest video game console of all time, out of a field of 25. I have owned a Xbox since Easter 2009. I use this label when talking about the Xbox 360 and Xbox 360 Games on both blogs.

YouTube - NSL - YouTube is a video-sharing website on which users can upload, share, and view videos. Three former PayPal employees created YouTube in February 2005. The company is based in San Bruno, California, and uses Adobe Flash Video technology to display a wide variety of user-generated video content, including movie clips, TV clips, and music videos, as well as amateur content such as video blogging and short original videos. Most of the content on YouTube has been uploaded by individuals, although media corporations including CBS, BBC, VEVO and other organizations offer some of their material via the site, as part of the YouTube partnership program. Unregistered users can watch the videos, while registered users are permitted to upload an unlimited number of videos. Videos that are considered to contain potentially offensive content are available only to registered users 18 and older. In November 2006, YouTube, LLC was bought by Google Inc. for $1.65 billion, and now operates as a subsidiary of Google. I use this label when a YouTube video is in my blog post or when I talk about it. The video here is one of the openings to The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi called Super Drive by Aya Hirano, the Japanese voice actress of the main character Suzumiya Haruhi.

Well this is it for now with the Labels A to Z posts. Hope you all enjoyed them. Sorry that this post was over a day later than planned, I was busy with the Heroclix post and my internet went down Saturday morning. There will be a big announcement/post on both of my blogs on Monday, so stay tuned. Until then, enjoy.

Heroclix 21st October, Crisis on Infinite Earths: Week Five

Welcome to another Heroclix post. So far in the campaign I am sitting on eight wins out of twelve rounds, currently at second place and have only last eight characters. This week's, Week Five is the second week of the Death of a hero part of the campaign. Round thirteen is 200 points, round fourteen is 400 points and round fifteen is 500 points with only three actions a turn.

So Round Thirteen, 200 points. As I lost the 79 points Crisis Robin the week before last, I decided to replace his with Nightwing from Crisis who is the same points cost.

Batman (Justice League) 75
Nightwing (Crisis) 79
Spoiler (Vet Legacy) 22
Robin (Starter Icons) 22
=198 points and two re-rolls.

I went up against Adrian’s 200 points team. He was using a bloody Fantastic Four team again with:

Invisible Girl (Exp Clobberin Time) 57 + Fantastic Four 5 = 62
Spiderman (Secret Invasion) 50 + Fantastic Four 5 = 55
Logan (Vet Clobberin Time) 60 + Fantastic Four 5 + Auto Regain 12 = 77
=194 points and 1 re-roll.

Arrrrr, fucking 19 defence stealth with Logan too. When I need 8s or more to hit I can not get it and when he needed a 11 or more he gets it. Sadly I lost this match and both Batman and Robin were MIAed.

Next was Round Fourteen, 400 points three actions. I used a remade 400 points team. This was the last team I rebuilt, I had transfared Spider-Girl to my 500 points team which left a huge gap in my team. I decided to go non theme wild cards. First I added Expeince Ragman to the team first as he was a Mystic with Stealth which would help my team a lot. Then I added Spider-Man from Secret Invasion as a attack piece and then Thinker as I needed a standard outwitter for the team. This is how the team turned out.

Batman (Arkham Asylum) 64
Cosmic Boy (Legion of Super Heroes) 70
Dream Girl (Justice League) 50
Karate Kid (Crisis) 63
Ragman (Exp Collateral Damage) 47
Spider-Man (Secret Invasion) 50
Thinker (Arkham Asylum) 55
=399 points and no re-rolls.

I was up against Michael’s 400 points team. He was using a non theme team with:

Cosmic Boy (Legion of Super Heroes) 70
Enchantress (Hammer of Thor) 141
Moleman (Secret Invasion) 50
Ulik (Hammer of Thor) 118
=379 points and no re-rolls.

This was intresting one. Michael’s Cosmic Boy TKed Ulik into Thinker and then he OKed my Thinker with one hit. Great, luckliy he did not go MIA. Batman, Spider-Man and Karate Kid mobbed him and OKed him. Then Enchantress TKed Michael’s Cosmic Boy up and Spider-Man and Karate Kid mobbed him. Then Moleman tried to move into stop my Prob from Dreamgirl, but she kicked him where it hurts and my Cosmic Boy TKed her away. Spider-Man OKed and MIAed Michael’s Cosmic Boy and then Batman and Karate Kid mobbed Moleman. Batman OKed him and he became MIAed. After that my guys stayed in cover and surrounded Enchantress slowly shotting her appart, but sadly time ran out and I could not OK her. However I did win the game.

The last round of the week, Round fifteen, which was a 500 points game. As I lost half my team I had a lot of work to do. First off was the easy bit, replacing Secret Invasion Iron Man. I could ever go far Supernova Iron Man with the Stunning Blow feat at 170 points or Armour Wars LE Tony Stark with Brillant Taction and Coopanation Feats at 176 points. I decided to choose the Supernova one. Then I transferred Spider-Girl to this team to replace Spider-Man. Then I added the Rookie Infinity Challnge Scarlet Witch who I did not realised had the Avengers keyword to replace the Avengers set one. And lastly with the points left over I added Wasp.

Hawkeye (Avengers) 56 + Thunderbolts ATA 8 = 64
Iron Man (Supernova) 160 + Stunning Blow 10 = 170
Mockingbird (Vet Super Nova) 34
Scarlet Witch (Rook Infinity Challenge) 29
Spider-Girl (Secret Invasion) 77
Yellowjacket (Secret Invasion) 100
Wasp (Starter Universe) 19
=493 points and three re-rolls.

I went up against Darren’s 500 points team again. He was using his Thunderbolts team with:

Bullseye (Web of Spider-Man) 117 + Thunderbolts ATA 8 = 125
Moonstone (Hammer of Thor) 76 + Thunderbolts ATA 8 = 84
Venom (Hammer of Thor) 73 + Thunderbolts ATA 8 = 81
Norman Osborn (Web of Spider-Man) 66 + Thunderbolts ATA 8 = 74
Radioactive Man (Vet Super Nova) 80 + Thunderbolts ATA 8 = 88
Songbird (Rook Fantastic Forces) 44 + Thunderbolts ATA 8 = 52
=504 points and three re-rolls. (House Rules least him go over him build value, as long as he does not have any feats and is a non-generic themed team).

Avengers vs. Thunderbolts, round 3. So far it has been one win per team. For the first half of the game we were both playing super deffencivly. Never of us wanted to attack first as we know it would leave are self open for an all out attack. But Darren finally bit the bait of Wasp and Mockingbird. It was a close battle and if it continual a little longer Darren would have gotten the advantage but time ran out. I have had KOed Moonstone, Norman Osborn and Radioactive Man, while he had only KOed Iron Man and Mockingbird so I won the third battle in is epic battle of Avengers vs. Thunderbolts. That is two wins out of three game. Sadly both Iron Man and Mockingbird ended up being MIAed. Great, I have to replace Iron Man again.

Sadly there is no Heroclix next week, so week 6 of the campaign will happen in two weeks time. It will be the last week of the Death of a Hero part of the campaign. Round sixteen is 300 points, round seventeen is 200 points and round eighteen is 200 points.

Wow I have more news this week. Close up pictures have appear internet of standard boosters for the Giant Size X-Men. They revile that Next Wave will be in the set as they showed of two members The Captain and Elsa Bloodstone. Also they show off three X-Men characters, Ice Man, Magneto and Armor. Also two new ATA has been released, one for Outlaws and one for Dark Avengers. The Outlaws one is an interesting one and at one point, something very useful. The Dark Avengers one is great, but a lot of the Dark Avengers can have Thunderbolts ATA which can be a lot more useful but at twice the cost. Wizkids have started previewing the figures from the Brightest Day Action Pack which is out next week. So far they have reviled Hawkgirl. Hawkgirl is a very good and play game piece, however according to most people on the HC Realms boards she is not very comic book accurate and suffer from a lack of keywords, but not as bad as most of the Blackest Night was. Checking the HC Realms forum I have found that they have all the states and power up. I am really thinking on getting this set as there is a lot of great figure. Best of all is the living Deadman. Here is a link to the post http://www.hcrealms.com/forum/showthread.php?t=291789. Lastly Wizkidz have announced that they are planning to bring Mage Knight back. Will this be there undoing as they will suffer from the problem in the past with have too many game going at once (Heroclix, Horrorclix, Actionclix, Pirates, Battlestar Galactic, MechWarrior and Mage Knight) or will it succeed. We will have to wait and see.

In this week’s DreamClix I will be doing Elixir from New X-Men, Axe-Hand Morgan from One Piece and Ryuk from Death Note, the Zodiac Warrior from episode three of the Iron Man Anime and also a dial for Naruto Uzumaki from Naruto.  However I like to change the wording to the Naruto TA to: Characters with this TA can ignore terrain while movement apart from indoor blocking, indoor walls and characters. Also I like to state if I said Mystic as a keyword in the past or future I meant Mystical.

First off Elixir, real name Josh Foley, first appears as a member of the Reavers, an anti-mutant group led by Donald Pierce. When Cerebro detects a mutant in the area, Danielle Moonstar and Karma investigate. The Reavers attack Moonstar's New Mutants squad, and one of Foley's allies is severely injured. Leaning down to aid his friend, Foley's mutant power manifests and he heals Laurie Collins. Outed as a mutant, much to his own surprise, and rejected by his friends and family, Josh reluctantly joins the Xavier Institute and becomes Prodigy's roommate, a situation neither finds appealing. Unable to overcome their bigotry, Josh's parents sign legal guardianship over to Dani Moonstar. He is assigned to Dani's New Mutant squad who eventually reach out to him as he comes to accept his mutation. Elixir is an Omega-level mutant, capable of controlling the biological structure of any organic matter including his own body. He is still inexperienced in the use of his powers, and the limits of his abilities are unknown. He must be in close proximity to whomever he heals, but can heal through clothing. Initially, all Josh could do was heal cuts and wounds. At one point, he also restored Wolfsbane's mutation. Sometime later, the Stepford Cuckoos telepathically copied and transferred all the information that Beast knew about anatomy, biology, and genetics into Josh's mind. This essentially gave him all that he needs to know to fully utilize his Omega-level biological powers. He demonstrates his new power by healing David's vision so he does not need eyeglasses, rebuilds David's ripped heart and boosted Laura's healing factor to save her from dying again. Elixir has displayed the ability to harm as well as heal, such as causing painful boils and welts to appear on the flesh of his enemies. He even used his powers to kill William Stryker, although the resulting feedback also altered his own body and brain; Prodigy hypothesizes that he was never meant to use his powers in this manner. When channelling his powers in harmful ways, Elixir's skin turns from its usual gold, to metallic black. According to Wolverine, when Elixir used his abilities to kill Wither, he's finding it hard to revert back to his gold form. During his time with X-Force, Elixir has demonstrated increased mastery of his powers: he is capable of sedating an enraged Wolfsbane, cleaning her body of drugs, granting himself and Archangel a healing factor and curing people of the Legacy Virus. His control over his abilities is now so refined that he was not only capable of giving Vanisher a brain tumor, but even of shaping it into the X-Men logo. Because of his control over his own biology, Elixir has proven to be very difficult to treat medically. He usually passes out after pushing his powers too far and remains in a coma for some time. Doctor Nemesis guessed that during these times, his DNA reboots itself. He should have specials like "Harm Ours" and "Heal Friends" as well as powers like Stealth, Incapacitate and Defend.
"Harm Ours: Elixir can use Close Combat Expert. If he does he takes one click of pushing damage."
"Heal Friends: Elixir can use Support but the minimum he can heal is 1 and no 0."
He should have four or five clicks of health and starting states of movement 7, attack 9, defence 14, damage 1 and range 0. The idea of giving him Defend with a low defence is that it will make him able to heal people with out giving him a high attack value. He should also have the X-Men TA and the keywords Teen, Reavers, New X-Men and X-Force.

Next is Axe-Hand Morgan from One Piece. Former Captain Morgan, called "Axe-Hand Morgan" since he literally has an axe for a right arm, is the first Marine officer of significant rank to be seen in the series. He's also the main villain of the Morgan arc. He has been stripped of his status that he had been abusing for three years. As a Marine Captain, Morgan has command over lower-ranking subordinates and citizens. He heavily abused this authority to get what he desired. He was eventually stripped of his rank and authority. In battle, Morgan has a massive axe installed in place of his right arm, to which was strong enough to slash through an entire wall with one swing through a shock wave. He also seems to have good endurance, as he is the sole survivor of Kuro's wrath three years ago. He should have the powers like Charge, Blades, Toughness and Willpower. He should have six to eight clicks of health and starting states of movement 6, attack 10, defence 16, damage 2 and range 0. He should also have the One Piece TA and the keywords Marine.

Next is Ryuk from Death Note. He is a Shinigami bored with the activities (or lack thereof) of the Shinigami Realm, so he decides to obtain a second Death Note and drop it in the human world for someone to find, hoping to amuse himself from the boredom. He deliberately writes the instructions inside the front cover (in English, which he assumed to be the most popular language in the human realm) so people would understand its purpose. The Death Note is discovered by Light Yagami, and Ryuk follows him around for much of the series to see how Light uses it. Ryuk has a fairly humanoid appearance. Ryuk should have a trait called “Shinigami Being” and powers like Flight, Phasing, Psychic Blast and Willpower.
Shinigami Being: When Ryuk deals damage from a range attack, he heals the same amount of click as to the damage he dealt. Ryuk ignores all terrain and characters when drawing line of sight. Characters cannot draw line of sight to Ryuk unless they have the Mystical keyword. Also Ryuk cannot carry.”
He should have about six clicks of health and starting states of movement 10, attack 10, defence 18, damage 2 and range 12 with one target. He should also have the Mystics TA and the keywords Shinigami, Death Note and Mystical.  With this I am changing Light’s keywords to Teen, Mystical and Death Note. The keyword Death Note is not meant to be the show but to note that they are Death Note users.

Next is the Zodiac Warrior from episode three of the Iron Man Anime. Sadly they never reviled their name this week so I did not know which sign it is. But as it creates Tornadoes, at a guess it has to be one of the wind based ones Gemini, Libra and Aquarius. Now then let me see, he should have two special “Tornado” and “Tornado’s Rage” also powers like Flight, Giant, Flurry, Force Blast, Super Strength, Invulnerability and Toughness.
Tornado: This character can use Poison and Stealth. At the end of your turn place hindering terrain markers on all adjacent squares regardless of elevation. Hindering terrain markers placed by this character are classed as being in all levels and they removed form play at the beginning of your turn.”
Tornado’s Rage: This character can use Telekinesis but only on characters that are adjacent to it. The target that is successful moved by Telekinesis is dealt one click damage.”
It should have five or six clicks of health and starting states of movement 8, attack 10, defence 16, damage 2 and range 2 with two targets. It should also have the Hydra TA and the keywords Zodiac, Armour and/or Robot.

Lastly here are the dials for Naruto Uzumaki from Naruto and his Shadow Clone pod.

As there is not Heroclix next week as the brothers , I will be doing a DreamClix double bill. I am planning on doing two Iron Man Armours, a generic Konohagakure ninja from Naruto, Master Roshi from Dragon Ball, a generic Marine from One Piece, Acidwire from Bleach and dials for Money D. Luffy from One Piece and a powerless Rukia. Until next time, enjoy.
